Responsibilities:

Our Red Deer office has an opportunity for an Instrumentation and Controls Expert or Electrical Engineer - Intermediate/Senior to support our Water Group. We are seeking an excellent communicator and skilled problem-solver with strong attention to detail. This is a dynamic work environment where you will play a pivotal role in a diverse range of industrial projects, from initial planning to design to construction.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing engineering design drawings and providing technical support on a variety of industrial projects
  • Providing design advice to junior staff
  • Working closely with our clients to understand their needs from project conception through to completion
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • An Engineering Degree from a recognized University.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in Instrumentation/Controls or Electrical Design
  • Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards, CEC, NBC, CSA, ULC
  • Proven project management skills; including contract admin, technical writing, financials, and project planning.
  • Previous experience with engineering software applications such as ETAP,AGI 32 and other tools will be a definite asset.
  • A working knowledge of the Microsoft office software suite of programs and REVIT will be beneficial in this role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a strong attention to detail are essential
  • Previous experience in electrical design, specifically related to waste water projects will be considered an asset.
