Responsibilities:An opportunity exists for an Engineer or Technologist in our Dartmouth office with broad technical knowledge and the ability to work in a team environment. The successful candidate will work in a technical support role in the companies Mechanical Machine Design group and be an active CAD team member, as well as ensure that client needs and requirements are met in a timely and effective manner. Specific duties will include:
Take direction from senior staff on design projects to deliver quality results on time and on budget Qualifications:As the ideal candidate, you have between 2 and 5 years experience in the design of machinery components and systems along with eligibility for professional accreditation with Engineers Nova Scotia or TechNova. Of value in this position will be experience with manufacturing environments, construction review and assistance, and associated design issues related to the following:
Knowledge and experience working with GD&T, ANSI & ISO drawing practices, word processing, spreadsheet computer programs, and technical writing in the form of reports and/or proposals would be an asset. Working experience in AutoCAD and 3D parametric modeling software (such as SolidWorks and/or Inventor) would be a definite asset.
