Overview: Stantec offers a full range of civil engineering services providing our clients with concise and efficient approaches to effective site planning and site construction. Working in conjunction with our landscape architect colleagues, the civil engineering group focuses on site layout; grading and drainage system design; parking area layout; and roadways and traffic circulation plans. Typical project types include outdoor sports and athletic facilities; education and campus planning and design; traditional neighborhood development; and transit oriented development. Responsibilities:Our office in Boston, MA is looking for a student to work from June through mid-August 2013. Interns will be encouraged to develop their site/civil engineering design skills while assisting the design team in various tasks including: client presentations, site design development, construction documentation and construction observation. Engineering tasks will be primarily in the field of Site Planning and Land Development. Qualifications:Students who apply should be in a civil engineering program going toward a Bachelors or Master’s Degree. These students should have prior industry experience and be proficient in AutoCAD.
