Responsibilities:

The Lethbridge office is seeking a CAD Technologist. Our office provides comprehensive planning, design, and engineering services for all phases of municipal and industrial projects, including land development, water, wastewater, transportation, wind power, buildings, and related civil projects. With a unique multidisciplinary team approach, we’re equipped with state-of-the-art survey tools, simulation models, specialized design software, and computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) facilities. The ongoing success of our team allows you to set the pace of your career.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in design and preparation of engineering drawings using the appropriate internal and external standards
  • Provide design and CAD assistance to engineering staff for civil site, roadway, site grading and drainage utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Preparing plan, section, detail, schematic and construction drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Performing Engineering calculations
  • Create new drawings and transfer mark-up
  • Create 3D AutoCAD details
  • Create a topographic surface and calculate quantities
  • Coordination of project drawings with Project Managers, CAD staff and others

Ensuring that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A diploma in Computer Aided Design and Drafting Technology or Civil Engineering Technology from an ASET accredited college.
  • Experience in computer aided drafting and design using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Strong communication skills
  • A willingness to work in a team atmosphere
  • Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
  • Imagination and enthusiasm in their work and willingness to add value to projects where possible.

Located in Southern Alberta, the Lethbridge office has a vibrant and dynamic team environment with excellent opportunities for personal professional growth.
