Responsibilities:

The Lethbridge office is seeking a Civil Engineer-In-Training. The successful candidate will draw upon their education to plan, design, manage and coordinate civil infrastructure, water and wastewater projects.

An opportunity exists for highly motivated civil engineer-in-training. As the successful candidate, you will use your technical abilities to complete the civil component of a wide variety of projects in a dynamic design team setting. You will report directly to the Project Manager or Team Lead and will have primarily design responsibilities. Other responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating with engineers, technical staff and/or team members in land development, water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation and other disciplines to ensure that the projects’ needs are met in a timely and effective manner
  • Following the process for obtaining approvals from various agencies
  • Writing reports and design briefs to document analyses
  • Taking responsibility for the quality of your written, technical and graphic work, and for completing work on-time and on-budget

Coordinating design drawings, in an AutoCAD environment, civil infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Registration with APEGA as a member in training, or eligible to register.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects.
  • Ideally, you are a self-motivated individual possessing strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • You should be able to work in a team environment and have a commitment to thrive in a proactive organization where client service is second to none.
  • A strong knowledge of municipal and urban land development design will be considered an asset.

Located in Southern Alberta, the Lethbridge office has a vibrant and dynamic team environment with excellent opportunities for personal professional growth.
