Responsibilities:

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Pavement Engineer/ Senior Project Manager to help grow our IMPE team. The role could be based in Markham, Mississauga, Toronto, Hamilton or our Kitchener office. The position entails leading the expansion of our pavement design activities with governments, private sector clients, as well as groups within Stantec. Tasks would include promotion to develop new markets, proposal preparation to secure new work, project management activities including data collection and analysis, report writing and managing projects financially.

Qualifications:
  • As the successful candidate, you are highly motivated, registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with PEO, have 10 years work related experience, including pavement engineering, pavement management and nondestructive testing of pavements.
  • Practical knowledge of pavement rehabilitation and design is a must. Familiarity with flexible and rigid pavement design methods, such as mechanistic design, AASHTO and PCA, and/or Pavement Management Systems concepts is essential.
  • You are a results oriented, self-motivated, forward-thinking individual possessing strong interpersonal abilities. Strong leadership, time management and team building skills are essential to meet the expectations of our supportive and proactive organization. We value and reward the ability to get the job done.
  • You have project experience on Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) pavement design and rehabilitation projects. In addition, experience in project management, and collecting and analyzing pavement condition data, specifically deflection data measured using FWD, and preparing design and rehabilitation reports is desired. An understanding of basic accounting principles and personnel management is a definite asset.
  • North American based knowledge and experience in a consulting environment is essential with a proven ability to obtain business from clients.
