Responsibilities:

Stantec's Red Deer office, in its continued desire to grow and help young professionals develop, has an opportunity for an Intern Architect.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Architectural design.
  • Space planning.
  • Assisting and working with Lead Architects, Project Managers and Principals.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in coordinating with clients and work proactively with the team to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to coordinate and liaise with project managers, architects and engineers, across a multi-disciplined organization.
  • Analyze building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements and other technical documents and reports
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment to see projects through to completion.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using Revit
  • Familiarity with the computer programs applying to Architecture such as AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, and 3 Modeling
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others. Also, the ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment.
