Responsibilities:Stantec’s Environmental Services practice seeks a senior fisheries/marine biologist at the Mid-Level project management level to provide project management, business development and other client services for natural resource projects located primarily in New England. Project management responsibilities include developing project proposals, managing projects and budgets, and performing and overseeing technical work. The successful candidate would help to develop projects in both marine and freshwater systems and help grow Stantec’s Aquatic Services Division. The position will coordinate studies with inter-related disciplines such as hydrology, geomorphology, wetlands, and wildlife studies. The candidate will oversee teams conducting sampling design, data collection, data management, statistical analyses, reporting and presentation for a variety of fisheries projects including freshwater and marine studies. Specific responsibilities include mentoring junior level staff, successfully managing projects and clients, business development, managing large field related projects involving fisheries management, fish passage studies, sediment sampling, impingement and entrainment sampling, eelgrass restoration or SCUBA surveys.
