Stantec is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in the Tempe Office.

Responsibilities:

As a Geotechnical Engineer you will work in a team environment on various mining projects. You will lend your experience to studies ranging from conceptual to full feasability as well as support to new mining projects in the execution phase. As the successful candidate, your responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Working on a variety of small to large projects including underground mining
  • Geotechnical evaluation and assessment of various developments and providing recommendations to address applicable issues
Qualifications:

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering
    • A Bachelor's degree in mining or civil engineering combined with substantial geotechnical related experience will also be considered
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years experience with 4 to 5 years of mining related experience
  • Knowledge of Mining and Environmental Acts, Regulations and Codes
  • Experience involving multi-disciplinary projects is preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with geotechnical modeling software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
  • Must have high standards for quality work and excel in a team environment
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
