We provide career opportunities as unique as you are. We are currently looking for Senior Engineering Specialists to join our Oil & Gas group in Quarry Park. This position is a technical role for the design of pipeline systems, the establishment of specifications and the procurement of materials and equipment. The Engineering Specialist will be supervised by a licensed Engineer. Responsibilities: - Assist with pipeline hydraulic studies and preparation of hydraulic study reports
- Prepare pipeline alignment, crossing and facility drawings
- Prepare technical reports and review/edit technical reports prepared by others
- Assist with preparation of pipeline equipment specifications, particularly for Design Basis Memoranda
- Participate in facility hazard review and analysis
- Draft pipeline system schematics and related facilities P&IDs
- Preparation of pipeline, cost estimates, and Basis of Estimate reports
- Coordinate pipeline group activities with other project disciplines
- Ensure compliance with project plan and procedures
Qualifications: - Bachelors (or higher) degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 6 years of pipeline design experience
- Eligible to register with a provincial professional association and/or working towards P.Eng can be considered an asset
- Experience on projects with capital expenditure of $20MM +
- Proven pipeline expertise and competency, in particular the installation of pipelines and associated facilities
- Work in the midstream and downstream oil and gas industry
- Genuine team player who will encourage teamwork with the project team plus other discipline staff
- High level of initiative and ability to complete tasks on schedule and budget
- Focused on providing quality services to the clients in a timely manner
- Excellent attention to detail
- Superior English communication skills, both verbal and written. Written skills to include technical writing and experience writing technical reports, scopes of work, cost estimates, etc.

- Strong mentoring skills and desire to encourage junior staff
