Responsibilities:

Our Red Deer, AB office, the head office for the Alberta Central and Northern Region, has an immediate opening for a CAD Design/Drafter to support its successful Urban Land Group.

As the successful candidate you possess a strong desire to create new high quality communities through the participation in a motivated design team setting. You will report to a Project Manager, and have design responsibilities that include:

  • Understanding, using, adhering to Stantec CAD standards
  • Preparing conceptual and final grading, servicing and road design in CAD
  • Preparing engineering drawings for land development and water resources projects in CAD
  • Completing earthwork quantity analyses, servicing design calculations, application forms and submission packages etc
  • Preparing presentation graphics and report figures
  • Coordinating project designs with project managers, other practices/disciplines, and others
  • Ensuring that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner
  • Assist in the completion of technical design reports
Qualifications:
  • You are a graduate of a Civil Technology program; recent grads are encouraged to apply.
  • You hold or are eligible for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist
  • You are knowledgeable and proficient in the use of AutoCAD, have experience with Civil3D software and MS Office Suite including Word and Excel
  • You are a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal and demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
