NatureBridge seeks an experienced and skilled Accounting Director to join the NatureBridge National Directors Team. Founded in 1971 and based in San Francisco, NatureBridge is the largest residential environmental education partner of the National Park Service. Its mission is to inspire personal connections to the natural world and responsible actions to sustain it. NatureBridge currently operates in six national parks: Yosemite National Park, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Olympic National Park, Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, Channel Islands National Park, and Prince William Forest Park. Each year, NatureBridge serves more than 30,000 participants through residential field science, youth leadership, and teacher training programs. NatureBridge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Principal Duties & Responsibilities The Accounting Director is responsible for managing the accounting function to ensure that all external and internal financial reporting obligations of the organization are met. This position reports to the Controller and is responsible for developing and monitoring sound internal controls to ensure accurate and timely reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with the Controller and the Chief Financial Officer to manage a comprehensive and effective accounting system in an organization with smart leadership committed to implementing major changes to its existing systems and processes. Accounting The Accounting Director manages the accounting function to ensure that the activities are carried out with a high level of efficiency, precision, and integrity. Specific duties include:
Finance, Budgeting, and Banking
