Job Description: 

CHEJ seeks an individual with strong proficiency in database management to maintain our donor and stakeholder databases and coordinate donor communications. This position entails a lot of work using our relational databases to produce reports, e-blasts, mailings and other communications. Comfort and proficiency using databases and creating customized lists is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Manage databases, including processing cash, credit card and electronic transaction gift entry; maintaining advocacy database; updating and properly coding and tagging records; entering prospect records; updating and cleaning database lists.
  • Manage membership services including renewal letters, gift acknowledgements, and various membership outreach/cultivation activities. Run database reports to track the outcome of fundraising activities.
  • Coordinate annual online auction, including overseeing and conducting item solicitations, promotion, and fulfillment of orders.
  • Coordinate mailing of new membership packets and solicitation materials to potential new members.
  • Respond to membership inquiries and requests for information.
  • Work as a team with the Development staff to conduct planning, outreach and follow through of fundraising initiatives and major donor events.
  • Design member and donor promotional materials.
  • Provide general support to development staff.
  • Other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Experience in database management, mail merging, is strongly preferred, including data entry (CHEJ will provide Sage database training).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • One to three years of experience in nonprofit development, member services, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive approach to projects and tasks; ability to take initiative.
  • Desire to learn, grow and take on new challenges
