Policy Internship Renew Missouri, a project of the Earth Island Institute. Renew Missouri is advancing renewable energy and energy efficiency through an effective five-pronged approach of policy research, education of key decision makers, public education, coalition building and regulatory oversight. Our mission is to transform Missouri into a leading state in renewable energy and energy efficiency by 2016. The Renew Missouri Policy Intern will work closely with staff to make sure Renew Missouri is the primary resource for legislators on issues of renewable energy and energy efficiency. The intern will gain experience in the advancement of clean energy policy, as well as a better understanding of the legislative process in Missouri. This internship is unpaid, but could develop into a paid position upon completion. Primary Projects •Create political district map of Renew Missouri supporters •Compile and publish results of statewide candidate surveys •Create legislative power-map Basic Qualifications: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong public speaking and written communication skills, and proficiency with computers. The interns may be required to travel to events in Missouri over the course of the internship. Hours: 10-15 hours/week, flexible scheduling, between January 22nd and May 10th.
