The Infrastructure Management and Pavement Engineering group of Stantec has vast experience in pavement engineering and management, providing our clients with pavement or asset management and sustainable pavement maintenance/rehabilitation, and design solutions. We continue to prove our capabilities in pavement research, and our expertise and products are well recognized through projects successfully completed throughout North America and abroad.
Responsibilities: An opportunity is immediately available in our Kitchener office for a full time software developer. As the ideal candidate you will be responsible for planning, coding and implementing a pavement performance data handling and verification of quality software program. Your knowledge and experience in the C programming lanaguages will assist you in efficiency and effectively transitioning or redeveloping current systems from C++ to a modern programming language. You will work in a team enivornemnt providing valuable input. As the successful candidate you will be responsible for organizing your work and detailed project documentation. Qualifications:As the successful candidate, you have a sound technical background with 5+years of experience, knowledge and experience with the C Programming languages. Experience with integrated development environments (RAD Studio / C++Builder would be ideal). You have database knowledge to transition from Paradox to a new database structure. An understanding of transportation engineering and more specifically pavements and hi-speed pavement performance equipment instrumentation and operation would be an asset. Ideally, you have graduated from a civil/transportation engineering academic program. You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities. In addition, you demonstrate a strong working proficiency with windows operating system, Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel. You are able to organize, prioritize, set and adjust schedules for independent challenging work. |
