Stantec's Transportation Infrastructure group provides planning and engineering services for roadway, transit, bridge, rail, airport and aviation projects. Responsibilities:Located in Markham, Ontario we are currently seeking a highly motivated Transportation Engineering Intern to become part a dynamic transportation group specializing in the design of major provincial highways, regional and municipal arterial roads, and related local roadway projects. As the successful candidate, you will assist in providing professional services to many public and private sector clients. You will be responsible for assisting project managers in the following areas:
As the ideal candidate you are an independent worker with a general knowledge of highway/road design and hold a degree in Civil Engineering. You are a self-motivated individual possessing strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy, and you work well in a team environment with minimal supervision. You are proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook. Working knowledge of MS Project and transportation engineering related software such as AutoCad/Land Development Desktop/Civil 3-D and InRoads would be considered a definite asset. This position will be of interest to a recent graduate, or an individual with one to three years experience in transportation engineering. |
