Our Environmental Services group is dedicated to managing environmental issues professionally and proactively. Our staff includes specialists in hydrogeology, hydrology, aquatic biology, botany, soil science, ecosystem restoration, permitting, and GIS/Information Management. We help our clients develop environmentally and socially responsible projects within constantly changing regulatory and corporate environments. Our team members have opportunities to be involved in a variety of projects that include water resource characterizations, watershed management, endangered species assessments, and habitat restoration We are seeking exceptionally talented and enthusiastic individuals.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Senior Hydrologist to lead and provide mentorship to our talented junior and intermediate Water Resources staff in Burnaby as we provide services to our clients throughout BC and Western Canada. Using your interpersonal, project management, and technical skills, you will conduct integrated hydrologic, hydraulic and climate studies in the mining, oil & gas, transportation, municipal government, and land development sectors. Your responsibilities will be broad in scope and involve providing technical and operational leadership to project teams, driving on-going business development, and managing/developing client relationships.

Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Water Resources Science
  • Professional registration in British Columbia.
  • Minimum 8 years professional experience managing projects, including hydrological characterizations and assessments utilizing both analytical and modeling approaches. Some business development and client liaison/ management experience is preferred.
  • Must be proficient with industry-standard hydrological modeling software programs and associated data management systems/approaches.
  • Excellent team-building and management capabilities. Solid oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Experience with local practice and markets is an asset.
