Responsibilities:

An immediate opportunity currently exists in our Yellowknife or Whitehorse offices for a Structural Technologist. The successful candidate will be required to prepare structural drawings and coordinate design details within the context of a multidisciplinary design team.

  • Preparing conceptual and detailed structural drawings for a range of building projects
  • Coordinating work with project managers, engineers, CAD staff and other disciplines
  • Review documents for architectural coordination and to verify accuracy and compliance with applicable CAD standards
  • Complete projects in a timely and effective manner
Qualifications:

The successful applicants will have:

  • College diploma in Civil/Structural Technology with a focus on Structural or other equivalent training
  • 2 years or more of relevant experience in design and construction of structural systems for buildings
  • Well experienced and knowledgeable with AutoCAD; 3-D modeling experience using AutoCAD or Revit would be a definite asset
  • Ability to successfully prepare design drawings, including checking for accuracy, drawing standards and as well as inter-disciplinary coordination
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with an ability to work either independently or with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
