We collaborate on developing innovative solutions for complex projects in the areas of water and wastewater infrastructure.

The Water group in Fort Collins is seeking a highly motivated, recent civil engineering graduate with 1-3 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will draw upon their education to plan, coordinate, and design various water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will use their technical abilities to support project engineers and project managers to complete various aspects of design on a wide variety of projects in a dynamic design team setting. You will report directly to the Project Manager or Project Engineer and will have responsibility for supporting the completion of studies, design calculations, engineering designs, and construction activities. Detailed responsibilities may include:

  • Undertaking the detailed studies, modeling and design tasks associated with the design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, the preparation of water and wastewater master plans, infrastructure rehabilitation projects, and stream restoration projects;
  • Coordinating with engineers, technical staff and/or team members in transportation, urban development, environmental management, and other disciplines to ensure that the projects’ needs are met in a timely and effective manner;
  • Following the process for obtaining approvals from various agencies;
  • Researching issues related to water and wastewater infrastructure that impact individual projects;
  • Writing reports and design briefs to document analyses;
  • Taking responsibility for the quality of your written, technical and graphic work, and for completing work on-time and on-budget;
  • And preparing design drawings, in an AutoCAD or Civil3D environment.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university, with experience in design of water and/or wastewater infrastructure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects.
  • As the ideal candidate, you hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
