Overview: Our Environmental Services (ES) group is dedicated to managing environmental issues professionally and proactively. We provide integrated, multidisciplinary services to identify and assess liabilities and risks, and to develop solutions to site management, remediation, and mitigation. Our staff of professionals includes specialists in marine biology, wetland science, wildlife biology, soil science, fisheries biology, botany, hydrogeology, hydrology, water resources management, forestry, habitat and ecosystem restoration, permitting, GIS, information management, environmental monitoring, in-situ/ex-situ remedial design and implementation, human health and ecological risk assessments, air quality permitting and reporting, pipeline compliance, stormwater permitting and planning, and audit support services. We are seeking an exceptionally talented and enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in Power Transmission and Distribution planning and permitting to join our team Responsibilities: Responsibilities: Business Development - Sustain & grow Net Revenue from United States Electric Transmission and Distribution clients
- Focus on Global/National clients & Key Accounts
- Drive growth through large Capex projects, programs and opportunities
- Leverage Global Stantec relationships for ES with existing Electric Transmission and Distribution clients
- Drive Top Line opportunities for the entire range of Stantec services and champion an integrated services approach
- Partner with appropriate Sector and Sub Sector Leaders and Regional Practice Leaders to create and sell
- Recruit & retain specialist staff and strategic hires within the practice
- Develop in-house sector expertise, best practices, and research & development initiatives
- Build, grow and develop a team of high performers
- Be responsible for the T&D Sector M&BD Plan
- Assist the RL in the Budget, CRR, CDPR, and Bonus processes for the Sector within the applicable PCs
- Work across Region, Practice and End- Market lines while sustaining a customer’s perspective of Stantec solutions to key Electric Transmission and Distribution clients
Strategic Thinking - Identify trends and develop a long-term view of the industry, market and client base
- Assist in the growth of ES by identifying and supporting the development of new service areas aimed at broadening and strengthening the ES package of services
- Anticipate medium and long term client needs and industry dynamics
- Develop and maintain a broad range of client relationships within the sector
- Understand how to align business to execute global strategy of One STANTEC across the Electric Transmission and Distribution Sub Sector
- Innovate and enhance ES’s Electric Transmission and Distribution capabilities, geographic footprint and integrated approach
- Adapt Sub Sector strategies and identify services to satisfy changing market conditions
Leadership - Direct and coordinate the marketing and business development activities of Practice Center leaders in the Sub Sector
- Work closely with Electric Transmission and Distribution Account Managers, Regional Practice Leaders, Technical Service Leadership, and PC Practice Leaders (PCPL) to deliver safe, profitable, and sustainable projects and services for our clients
- Lead (where applicable) and collaborate with Account Managers in growing global & national accounts within our Electric Transmission and Distribution Sub Sector
Qualifications: This leader will be a high integrity executive with a commitment to delivering on promises. She/He will be a strong leader and manager with a strategic mindset. This leader will possess in-depth experience in the Electric Transmission and Distribution market sector, with a proven track record as a key contributor to a global leadership team. - An undergraduate degree in science or engineering is required. We prefer well qualified candidates also have a graduate degree in business or marketing.
- We require at least 15 years of experience in the Electric Transmission and Distribution Industry, with a background in consulting.
- Has the skill and knowledge to create, suggest and introduce innovative and effective client solutions and integrated deliverables that are aligned with both Sector and Global business objectives
- Proven experience in building rapport and trust with key clients, business leaders, and team members
- Proven teambuilding and influencing skills
- Known to be proactive in his/her ability to be a market leader
- Known for sustaining long-term client relationships
- Ability to travel 50% of time as required
