Overview: The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE), a leading national nonprofit research organization based in Washington, D.C., seeks a person to direct its finance department. ACEEE acts as a catalyst to advance energy efficiency policies, programs, technologies, investments, and behaviors as a means of promoting economic prosperity, economic security, and environmental protection. ACEEE has a strong track record of accomplishments, including publishing more than 200 research reports that are widely used and cited in the energy efficiency field, and contributing to many pieces of energy legislation at the federal and state levels. ACEEE is a medium-sized non-profit, presently with a staff of almost 50 people, with headquarters in Washington, D.C., and some staff located in Delaware, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Washington, and Wisconsin. Position Description: ACEEE is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills and experience in non-profit financial management. The Finance Director will be responsible for the financial management of the organization and will report to the Chief Operating Officer. Responsibilities include:
