Outreach Specialist Bay Area (Contra Costa, San Mateo, Santa Clara Counties) Summary Ecology Action is engaged in a marketing, education and outreach effort to support utility Whole House Upgrade Programs (WHUP). The Outreach Specialist is part of a team of field staff engaging with homeowners, contractors, local government representatives and other stakeholders to successfully drive uptake in utility whole house programs and effect positive behavior change towards energy efficiency. The Outreach Specialist will assist the Program Manager in delivering appropriate community level outreach, education, technical assistance and customer support for the Whole House Upgrade Program. Ecology Action’s successful methodology is centered on community-based social marketing principles and the Outreach Specialist will help facilitate venues and events that fit that methodology such as workshops, webinars and participation in community awareness events. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, talk and hear, and use a computer keyboard and monitor. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee will be required to drive to meetings and events on a regular basis. Work Environment: Generally, the work environment is an office or event setting. However, travel by driving may be required. Driving an insured personal vehicle on company business is required (currently $.55/mile reimbursement). Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Compensation: Total compensation range is $58,500 to $65,531 annual salary (exempt).
