Overview: Stantec’s Urban Development team provides a full range of innovative services in landscape architecture, engineering, and land use planning, and project management to shape and transform the urban landscape. Responsibilities: A senior leadership position is available for a Senior Planner who will oversee and direct Stantec's Planning functions in the Ottawa area. As the Senior Planner, the successful candidate will be responsible for the quality and quantity of technical services provided to our land development clients and for maximizing value to the client. Working with other leadership staff, you will be accountable for developing, implementing and achieving Planning growth and performance objectives. You will be comfortable representing Stantec's clients at all levels of Government and at the Ontario Municipal Board when necessary. Specific roles and responsibilities include: The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of the Land Development process in the city of Ottawa and surrounding areas. With a minimum of 15 years' experience in the implementation of planning and land development projects. You will have highly successful experience in project management, team leadership, financial management, communication/presentation, and team building capabilities. You have a thorough knowledge of approval processes, site planning and urban design and have developed a strong relationship with Land Developers as clients. To meet the expectations of this challenging position, you also have prior consulting experience, you are a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Ontario Professional Planner's Institute.
