Our Environmental Services group is dedicated to managing environmental issues professionally and proactively. We provide integrated, multidisciplinary services to identify and assess liabilities and risks, and to develop solutions to site management, remediation, and mitigation. Our staff of professionals includes specialists in marine biology, wetland science, wildlife biology, soil science, fisheries biology, botany, hydrogeology, hydrology, water resources management, forestry, habitat and ecosystem restoration, permitting, GIS, information management, environmental monitoring, in-situ/ex-situ remedial design and implementation, human health and ecological risk assessments, air quality permitting and reporting, pipeline compliance, stormwater permitting and planning, and audit support services . We are seeking exceptionally talented and enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest in the natural sciences to join our team and advance their career.

Responsibilities:

Our Fort Collins office is seeking a mid-level vegetation specialist. This position will involve assisting in a variety of projects that may include endangered species assessments and other rare species surveys, development of mitigation plans, habitat restoration, noxious weed management planning and wetland characterizations. This will include field work as well as office duties such as data entry and analysis, literature searches, photointerpretation, coordination with GIS staff, and report writing.

Qualifications:
  • BS in Biology, Ecology, Plant Science, Environmental Science, or Natural Resource Management required; Master's degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of three years of experience performing wetland surveys, sensitive plant species identification, noxious weed identification, NEPA permitting, etc.
  • Must have knowledge and training in plant taxonomy
  • Ability to recognize common plants of the desert and intermountain region of the western US
  • Ability to interpret satellite and aerial photography and read and interpret maps
  • Willingness to work in the field in remote locations for extended periods
  • Previous field work experience
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Prior to employment, this position will require the successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
