Headquartered in San Francisco with nine offices across the U.S., we hire the best and brightest who share our passion for justice and a healthy environment for all people.  Our experience and distinguished track record enable us to mount strategic and effective campaigns that achieve significant lasting environmental protection.

The Communications Assistant has dual responsibility for marketing support in the areas of social media, blogger outreach and graphics, while also providing administrative support to the department and VP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Earthjustice product inventory (TShirts, Hats, Polos, etc.).
  • Assist in earned media tracking of results as needed; build and maintain press distribution lists; find photos for press outreach.
  • Department coordination, which includes maintaining a calendar of significant Communications activities and program dates, assisting in the organization of departmental retreats, and collecting and analyzing key metrics.
  • Assist in producing reports and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Some experience with office administration preferred, though not required.
  • Familiarity in the nonprofit, communications, or environmental arena would be a plus.
