Job Description:  Overview:

Our Environmental Services group is dedicated to managing environmental issues professionally and proactively. We provide integrated, multidisciplinary services to identify and assess liabilities and risks, and to develop solutions to site management, remediation, and mitigation. Our staff of professionals includes specialists in hydrogeology, hydrology, remedial design and implementation, environmental monitoring, water resources management, air quality permitting and reporting, soil science, human health and ecological risk assessments, storm water permitting and planning, GIS, information management, and audit support services. We are seeking exceptionally talented and enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest in the natural sciences to join our team and advance their career.

Stantec's Environmental Services Practice is looking for an experienced professional to serve as our "Project Manager" to help support our growing practice. This position will be based out of our Phoenix, AZ office.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will oversee environmental projects/programs, client development, and marketing. Previous client management experience within the industrial, commercial, oil & gas, power & energy, or government sectors is a plus. Direct experience includes site assessment, remediation, engineering, design, regulatory compliance, and environmental monitoring/sampling, etc. The successful candidate must have a strong technical background, excellent writing, and communication skills, and be a proven team leader.

Qualifications:
  • BS in engineering, geology, science, or related discipline; professional registration preferred.
  • 10 years of relevant site investigation/remediation experience, including environmental consulting experience.
  • Excellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and “people” skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of the local regulatory climate, with proven negotiation skills with state and local regulators.
  • Recognized technical expertise by the marketplace.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Prior to employment, this position will require the successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
