Stantec's Environmental Remediation group is dedicated to helping our clients reduce their environmental liabilities by developing comprehensive investigation and remediation programs. We provide integrated, multidisciplinary services to identify and assess liabilities and risks, and to develop solutions to site investigation, management, remediation, and mitigation. Our team members work on a variety of projects, including environmental monitoring, in-situ/ex-situ remedial design and implementation, human health and ecological risk assessments, air quality permitting and reporting, pipeline compliance, stormwater permitting and planning, and audit support services. Responsibilities:

Stantec is seeking an entry level Environmental Scientist with 0-1 year experience to join its growing Hartford office. The Environmental Scientist is responsible for performing field activities and other project services associated with conducting site assessments such as: investigating soil and groundwater, interpreting/ assessing data; and preparing portions of scientific reports based on the field work and technical data.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements for this position include a four-year degree in a related field of study.

Must be able to plan, organize and carry out field activities associated with site assessments, and effectively communicate with project management and other field staff.

The successful applicant must exhibit extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written; sound engineering/scientific problem-solving abilities; and a strong personal drive to be an outstanding team member.
