Stantec's Environmental Services group is dedicated to helping our clients reduce their environmental liabilities by developing comprehensive remediation programs. We provide integrated, multidisciplinary services to identify and assess liabilities and risks, and to develop solutions to site management, remediation, and mitigation. Our team members work on a variety of projects, including environmental monitoring, in-situ/ex-situ remedial design and implementation, human health and ecological risk assessments, air quality permitting and reporting, pipeline compliance, stormwater permitting and planning, and audit support services. Responsibilities:

Staff level engineer or geologist assists in the completion of project level work (data management, field work, report preparation, and design components) on multi-year environmental remediation/management projects for industrial clients (primarily manufacturing and oil and gas industry). Significant decisions and deliverables reviewed by higher level staff. May have project management job components (management of budgets or tasks that are part of larger work scopes). The candidate should have experience with site assessments including soil and groundwater sample collection, logging of soil in accordance with the USCS, remediation systems and data collection, and strong report-writing skills. Experience coordinating field projects, scheduling subcontractors and implementation of health and safety plans and policies will be a key for this position.

Qualifications:
  • 5 years experience in environmental consulting.
  • Has a BS or MS degree in engineering (civil, environmental, or chemical) or geology/hydrogeology.
  • Completed OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • AutoCAD experience a plus.
  • Valid driver's license required and good driving record.
  • Prior to employment with Stantec this position will require the succesful completion of a physical exam, drug and alcohol screening.
