We specialize in sophisticated process engineering and simulation, electrical and instrumentation, rotating equipment, equipment specification, controls and automation, finite element and stress analyses for piping and structural systems, HAZOPs, and risk review of plant designs. Responsibilities:

An opportunity exists for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in our Dartmouth, NS office with broad technical knowledge and the ability to work in a team environment. The successful candidate will be responsible to work with existing staff to further develop business opportunities, liaison with clients, resolve engineering design issues as well as develop project scope documents, estimates and project proposals. Experience with pressure vessel design and piping codes is essential to compliment your abilities to supervise project teams and collaborate with teams from other disciplines to deliver on-time, on-budget results.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 8-10+ years of general mechanical design experience in Heavy Industrial and Oil and Gas (preferably offshore) industries.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with The Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia (APENS)
  • Recognized within the industry as having expert knowledge of industry codes, regulations and best practices related to pressure vessel design, materials selection and piping analysis
  • Ability to meet project schedule and deliver quality products under pressure
  • Sound working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of office products
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
