The BlueGreen Alliance seeks a California Policy Organizer to work in our San Francisco office. The BlueGreen Alliance (BGA) is a national organization that brings together our eight national partners (eight major unions and four national environmental groups) as well as labor federations, environmental and social justice organizations and clean energy businesses to advocate for clean energy/green jobs. We focus our advocacy on programs and policies that result in the development of the clean energy and green economy with a special emphasis on:
JOB SUMMARY The California Policy Organizer will work closely with the California Director to carry out our legislative and campaign advocacy work as well as our coalition building priorities throughout the state and in Sacramento. The person who fills this position will report to the California Director, and work closely with other BlueGreen Alliance staff and the California BlueGreen Alliance Steering Committee members.
