Job Description:  Overview:

Our Environmental Services group is dedicated to managing environmental issues professionally and proactively. We provide integrated, multidisciplinary services to identify and assess liabilities and risks, and to develop solutions to site management, remediation, and mitigation. Our staff of professionals includes specialists in marine biology, wetland science, wildlife biology, soil science, fisheries biology, botany, hydrogeology, hydrology, water resources management, forestry, habitat and ecosystem restoration, permitting, GIS, information management, environmental monitoring, in-situ/ex-situ remedial design and implementation, human health and ecological risk assessments, air quality permitting and reporting, pipeline compliance, stormwater permitting and planning, and audit support services . We are seeking exceptionally talented and enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest in the natural sciences to join our team and advance their career.

Stantec's Environmental Services Practice is looking for an experienced professional to serve as our "Sr. Project Manager" to help direct, manage and implement our growing practice. This position will be based out of our office in San Antonio, TX.

Responsibilities:

The Sr. Project Manager will aggressively manage, design, and lead pipeline project environmental tasks. The position requires participation in business development efforts with respect to developing scopes and budgets for environmental and permitting tasks. The Sr. Project Manager will write and review technical reports, and write and manage the development of major State and Federal permit application materials. Incumbent is expected to act as a role model who actively mentors colleagues, helping them build leadership and management experience. The position will require working closely with route development, survey, and engineering teams to effectively implement services for pipeline projects.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor in Engineering or Science, Masters degree preferred.
  • P.E. license, P.G. or other scientific registration at state level.
  • 10 years regulatory compliance experience in oil & gas, pipeline compliance and permitting.
  • 10 years experience delineating wetlands in the eastern mountain and piedmont regions using the interim regional supplement to the COE wetland delineation.
  • Individual must have superior communication skills, ranging from discussions and training with staff, to interactions with clients and regulators, and to report/proposal/document preparation.
  • Employee must also have a high level of safety awareness and hazard identification.
  • Must also be able to maintain a flexible schedule and meet deadlines for multiple contemporaneous projects.
  • Individual must be able to accommodate extended periods of travel.
  • Must be proactive in meeting goals of projects.
  • Clean Driving record and valid driver's license required.
  • Prior to employment with Stantec this position will require the successful completion of a physical and drug screen.
