Job Description: 

The Center for EcoTechnology administers aspects of the MassSAVE program which is a statewide effort to improve the energy efficiency of homes. This position supports the program by answering customer inquiries, processing customer contracts, and providing follow up sales support as well as general administrative assistance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Review and track customer documents
  • Develop and carry out follow up sales strategies to increase contract closing rates
  • Track and report sales efforts and results
  • Answer incoming calls for the Mass Save program and provide accurate information, must keep up to date with many program changes
  • Return calls and respond to questions in a timely manner
  • Provide customer service that meets or exceeds department customer service standards
  • Provide advice to customers about improving energy efficiency in their homes
  • Track and process all customer deposits
  • Provide general administrative support, including copying, faxing, and material preparation

Qualifications:

  • College degree and/or 2 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of one year office experience and one year customer service experience
  • Proficient in Windows-based software
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge about home construction / renovation
  • Passion for the environment and community involvement
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent responsiveness to requests for information and clarifications

This position will be a full-time, hourly position with benefits. CET offers competitive pay rates and a comprehensive health plan which pays approximately 60% of the individual’s health insurance costs. New employees accrue 10 days of paid vacation leave per year, 9 sick days and CET offers 12 paid holidays. This position will be based out of CET’s Northampton office.
