Responsibilities:We have an immediate opportunity in our Kitchener Office for a Senior Electrical Engineer in our growing Industrial Buildings and Facilities group. As the successful candidate, you will work independently, with support of the project manager, and will be responsible for the planning and designing of a variety of projects, site inspections, construction reviews, specification writing, report preparation, and drawing reviews. You possess a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience in the design of industrial and commercial facilities. Your previous experience in the design of facility electrical systems, building services and connections to utility systems in the industrial sector is a necessity. Design of utility electrical systems would be considered an asset. You are well versed in computer design tools, such as SKM Power Tools, ETAP and Visual Lighting Designer, and possess a solid working knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code and IES lighting standards. Experience with NFPA codes and hazardous area classifications would be considered an asset. You are also a self-motivated individual possessing strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills, some project management experience and possess the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
