Position Summary

Green For All is seeking an experienced web and communications professional to lead our Internet team. Successful candidates will have a proven track record in implementing and enhancing web technologies for an organization. The ideal candidate will be a savvy Internet marketer with a passion for online activism, growing an online supporter base, and building online communities. They will have good CRM and CMS expertise, be values driven, self-motivated, detail oriented, and resourceful. They will also be able to work efficiently and with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment that requires adaptability to shifting priorities, a sense of urgency, and a commitment to excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Green for All's web properties; social media channels, online and email campaigns
  • Draft regular online communications and develop online campaigns to support Green For All programs
  • Manage development of requirements, progress, and delivery of short and long-term projects related to website maintenance, enhancements, and new initiatives
  • Lead Green For All’s efforts to grow its online communities, email lists and cultivate current online members' activism
  • Develop online industry relationships and push Green For All’s agenda in these spaces (Netroots Nation, Web 2.0 Summit, GreenBiz)
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and new online developments; keep Green For All on the cutting edge as a user of new media for movement building 
  • Monitor and analyze website metrics, systems performance, and user activity
  • Work with partners, third-party service providers, and vendors to maintain site standards and assure optimal performance of technology tools and website standards
  • Create and maintain systems documentation for information, training, and scalability purposes
  • Provide technical management for online campaigns including site promotions, email newsletters, and online outreach campaigns
  • Conduct social media trainings for staff and our members
  • Coordinate with Communications Director to implement effective web content in timely manner
  • Manage a web developer; working closely with the developer to develop and design online campaigns for Green For All
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

Web Design and Development

  • Experience in website design and development as well as managing content and/or production for high traffic websites. 
  • CRM - Experience with Democracy in Action or other CRM such as Convio, Kintera, or Blue State Digital
  • Database Management - Experience with database management including developing dynamic database-driven websites
  • Graphic Design – Proficiency in producing graphics for the web using Adobe Photoshop (Illustrator and InDesign experience a plus)

Online Communications & Marketing

  • Proficiency in best practices for email management, online fundraising, and advocacy systems 
  • Demonstrated understanding of emerging online trends and technologies
  • Experience with managing Twitter and Facebook presence for an organization
  • Experience with online marketing activities including online (including Facebook) advertising and search engine marketing and optimization
  • Strong contacts with online news outlets, blogs and social media influencers

Other

  • Proven management experience in day-to-day site administration or design, including achieving results through vendors or contractors
  • Proven ability to work independently, and also to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
  • Ability to quickly learn new software/hardware systems
  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects in a fast paced deadline-driven environment
  • Experience at a non-profit organization
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, technology, or related field
  • Availability to work long hours; be available on nights and weekends as necessary

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Compensation: Full-time, commensurate with experience, excellent benefits package.
