Overview:
With the understanding that effective management of our water resources is critical to public health, economic development, and the long-term health of the environment, Stantec’s Water group is focused on delivering and managing sustainable water and wastewater solutions. Our team members are passionate about resource renewal and sustainability, and apply both knowledge and technology to deliver life cycle solutions for both public and private sector clients. We collaborate on developing innovative solutions for complex projects in the areas of water and wastewater process design, wastewater collection, water distribution, and reclaimed water systems. Responsibilities:
Stantec has an opening in its Sarasota, Florida office for an experienced water/wastewater practice leader with management skills in water/wastewater projects. Responsibilities will include preparing reports, design plans, specifications, engineering calculations, construction phase services, fee estimating, and proposal writing. The successful candidate will also have responsibility for project budgets, client contact, managing local staff, and growing the Southwest Florida client base . Qualifications:
We require a minimum of 15 years experience in the active management and engineering of water/wastewater projects, a current Florida PE license, and proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications. A graduate degree in engineering or business is preferred. Project experience in Lee, Charlotte, Sarasota, Manatee and Hillsborough Counties is strongly preferred as the successful candidate will be expected to market and manage projects in one or more of these areas. |
