We work closely across disciplines including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Process, Environmental, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls. Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will receive mentoring and training from Senior Piping Technicians who have a world class reputation for their skillful design of complex industrial piping systems.

Located in our Fredericton, NB office and serving clients in the Pulp and Paper, Wood Composites, Oil and Gas, Power and Utilities, Food, Mining and Environmental industries, our Piping Technologists are responsible for:

  • PP & ID and Flow Diagram preparation;
  • Drawing preparation using AutoCAD 2011 and AutoPlant
  • 3D modeling of piping and mechanical systems
  • Data collection and verification in our client’s facilities;
  • Pipe routing and interference checking;
  • Piping and support design;
  • Specification of materials;
  • Estimating and bill of materials preparation;
  • Preparation of isometric drawings;
  • Field representation and drawing interpretation.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess;

  • A Diploma of Mechanical Engineering Technology;
  • Training in fluid mechanics and / or piping support design;
  • 2-3 years consulting experience
  • Must be self motivated, team oriented, efficient, and a good communicator;
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD 2011
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office specifically in Windows maneuvering, Word, Excel and Access is desirable;
  • Ability to work in an environment of constantly changing technology and project assignments.
