Job Summary The education associate is responsible for developing, marketing and managing the delivery of educational programs that support Earth Advantage Institute’s mission. The ideal candidate will possess fine attention to detail, superior organization skills, excellent oral and written communication skills and an entrepreneurial spirit. He or she will also have exceptional customer service skills to meet the needs of the architects, builders, policy makers, appraisers and real estate professionals who participate in EAI’s education programs. Responsibilities Identify outreach opportunities for courses and education programs. Create and deliver outreach presentations to market and sell courses to prospective students. Perform online and other grassroots marketing for courses. Meet enrollment targets for assigned courses. Seek out and secure opportunities for custom course offerings of EAI courses. Identify potential course funding sources, opportunities for educational partnerships, and market opportunities for new course development and delivery. Create and manage registration procedures for courses, including maintenance of Salesforce CRM records and reports. Manage Moodlerooms online training platform. Evaluate current course delivery and make necessary curriculum revisions. Prepare curriculum materials, reserve classroom space and manage event details for courses. Manage the accreditation process of all EAI courses with relevant state and national accrediting bodies as needed. Ensure compliance with appropriate procedures to maintain course and school accreditation with various agencies. Serve as primary liaison with course instructors of assigned courses. Assist with the development of new curriculum content for classroom or online courses. Maintain an inventory of education program materials, textbooks and relevant community resources. Assist with planning and executing special events such as Green Day Forum. Staff EAI’s booth at tradeshows, commensurate with training and experience. Assist the education department with special projects as needed. Keep detailed records of time allocated to each project. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in education, business, marketing, sustainability, or related field (or equivalent) Minimum of two years of experience in green building, education, or training and development Certification in green building expertise (e.g., Sustainable Homes Professional, Certified Sustainable Building Advisor, LEED GA) highly desirable Passion for sustainability Excellent interpersonal communication, research, presentation and writing skills Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies High motivation and energy level with demonstrated ability to take initiative Exceptional attention to detail, follow‐through, and ability to keep stakeholders informed at all times Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
