Stantec is One Team providing Infinite Opportunities. Responsibilities:A senior leadership position is available as PC Practice Leader (PCPL) for the Buildings Engineering Group based out of our Red Deer, Alberta office.
As PCPL the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the PC Managing Leader, the Technical Leaders and the Principals and Associates group. The PCPL is primarily responsible for the quality and quantity of technical services and for the development of new opportunities for the PC. The PCPL is also responsible for Practice issues, and has a secondary responsibility to support the PCML initiatives. More specifically:
The successful candidate will possess ideally a Structural Engineering Degree /Diploma and will have minimum 10+ years’ experience working in a multi-discipline team in the design of building systems. Will have experience in at least two of the following sectors: healthcare, commercial /retail, recreation, municipal, university /school. Experience implementing sustainable design /LEED ® projects is an asset.
Strong leadership, communication and team building skills are essential for the candidates to meet the expectations of this challenging position. The PCPL must be an individual who has the personality, experience and ability to effectively lead, challenge, and inspire the leadership group and staff to work together cohesively as a team.
Prior consulting experience, within the Buildings Engineering sector, and established client and agency contacts are desirable to be able to enhance Stantec's One Team Infinite Solutions principle. The PCPL will help us build our face in the community; he/she is the "image" of the Buildings Engineering Group that should come to people's minds.
The PCPL must have a demonstrated ability to champion both technical and customer service excellence with conviction and purpose. The PCPL must be an experienced practitioner with a strong buildings engineering focus, knowledgeable in the design and delivery of high quality buildings.
