Overview:

We have immediate openings for permanent full time positions for Technical personnel to join our teams in our Halifax, NS office.
The Team Lead is responsible for the site supervision of inspection work teams and report facilitation and will be the main point of contact for the work group with the client’s site representative and other EM&I Stantec engineering support staff. The Team Lead and Senior Technician will conduct inspections and minor repair/maintenance activities and be responsible to ensure that safe work practices (including those for Rope Access activities) are followed and in accordance with defined work scopes and client requirements. All candidates must be willing to work on offshore oil and gas platforms for extended periods. Regular air and boat travel is required. Local and international travel will also be required. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of experience and trade certifications
Experience Competencies The successful applicant will have previous offshore oil and gas supervisory or inspection experience (minimum 10 years for Team Lead; 5 years for Senior Technician), with a strong background in inspection and an understanding of insulation and coating practices, minor repair works and familiarity with Rope Access (IRATA) and rigging techniques and procedures. A minimum Level 2 NDE certification Visual Inspection certification: API, NACE, CWB etc. Basic Survival Training or willing to obtain training IRATA (Rope Access) certification or obtain training Technical College Diploma programs in Mechanical Engineering Technologist or other formal technical training would be an asset. Competency in standard Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) |
