Stantec’s growing Oil & Gas group in Houston, TX has an opportunity for a Senior Pipeline Engineer/Project Manager. Responsibilities:

The Senior Pipeline Engineer/Project Manager will provide design engineering primarily focused on the capital projects and operating activities of our clients. Projects may include new pipelines, and modifications to existing pipelines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proposal preparation and client liaison
  • Prepare and review the design for new pipelines and upgrades to existing pipelines
  • Prepare engineering assessments and economic, feasibility and risk studies using practical experience and engineering principles
  • Prepare and review pipeline construction drawings and materials specifications
  • Operations support requirements including;
    • Assessing fitness-for-purpose of pipelines
    • Repair and rehabilitation options
    • Selection of materials
  • Direct the work of technologists, drafters and other consultants
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
  • Professional Engineer Registration in the state of TX preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years experience, primarily in TX, in pipeline design
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively , written and verbal, with clients, coworkers, third parties and other stakeholders
  • Recognized within the industry as having expert knowledge of industry codes, regulations and best practices
