Overview: Our Water sector team is focused on sustainable water and wastewater solutions, applying state-of-the-art technology for both public and private sector clients. We collaborate on developing innovative solutions for complex projects in the areas of advanced water and wastewater process design, water supply, conveyance, pumping, and storage. Responsibilities:Will design water and wastewater treatment facilities, conduct hydraulic studies and assessments, and plan and design water distribution, storage, and sanitary collection facilities. Will manage projects, including client coordination, internal task assignments, project financial supervision, client business development, and overall project oversight. Will prepare and supervise the preparation of conceptual plans, detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates for design and construction projects. Will complete water and wastewater system master plans and design water and wastewater treatment systems. Will prepare detailed design plans for the construction of water and wastewater facilities. Will write reports and technical memoranda to document analyses, designs, and project scope changes. Will research issues related to water and wastewater which impact individual projects. Qualifications:Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or a related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) as well as 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager (Water/Wastewater) or water and wastewater project experience. Or, alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years experience as noted above. Also requires demonstrated expertise with design principles, techniques, and tools used in the production of technical plans, specifications and cost estimates; demonstrated expertise with the development and derivation of formulas and relationships and the limitations and areas of applicability of established civil engineering principles, methods, and techniques; demonstrated expertise with pipeline materials and various installation approaches, including at least one of the following: open cut, directional drilling, jack and boring, and pipe bursting; demonstrated expertise with the State Agencies which affect the design of water and sewer projects; and demonstrated expertise with water distribution and sewer design techniques and common construction practices.
