Overview: Our Environmental Management group is dedicated to managing environmental issues professionally and proactively. Our staff of professionals includes specialists in marine biology, wetland science, wildlife biology, soil science, fisheries biology, botany, hydrogeology, hydrology, forestry, habitat and ecosystem restoration, permitting, GIS, and Information Management. We help our clients to identify and respond to opportunities and threats within constantly changing regulatory and corporate environments, through active engagement with the public, stakeholder groups, and governmental regulators. Our team members have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects that may include endangered species assessments, habitat restoration, wetland characterizations, and water resources management. We are seeking exceptionally talented and enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest in the natural sciences to join our team and advance their career. Responsibilities:This is an entry level environmental scientist position. The succesful candidate will assist our professional environmental staff in several key areas including wetland delineation, wildlife biology, environmental permit preparation and report writing. The succesful candidate will experience frequent, rugged field work on land and water during all seasons. Assistance with, and participation in public presentations will occur. Qualifications:The successful candidate shall have a minimum of a BS degree in wetland science, wildlife biology, environmental science or similar field; course transcripts shall be provided with the position application. 1-2 years experience in the environmental services field is preferred. The successful candidate shall be proficient with Microsoft Office suite of computer programs, shall have excellent writing skills, and shall posses sufficient physical abilities necessary to perform strenuous field work during all seasons. The successful candidate shall be amenable to public speaking, and able to attend night meetings. He/she shall possess a valid drivers license. |
