Responsibilities:

EM&I STANTEC Ltd. a joint venture of the global EM&I Alliance www.emialliance.com and Stantec Consulting Ltd. provides Asset Integrity, Inspection, Maintenance and Repair to the Offshore Oil & Gas industry. EM&I STANTEC are expanding their fulltime Nondestructive Examination and Computed Radiography (CR) workforce. The Halifax office has an immediate opening for a CGSB Level 1 or level 2 NDE Inspectors in MT, PT, UT and CEDO. The CEDO staff will be provided with CR equipment training as required.

The CEDO/NDT candidates will be expected to:

  • carry out CR/NDT inspections to specific instructions aligned to their certifications and under the Team Leader/Senior Technician’s supervision
  • perform equipment set-up and quality checks
  • perform first level evaluation of test results and accurately document findings and communicate information to the Team Leader/Senior Technician

assist in minor insulation/coating repair activities

Qualifications:

The CEDO/NDT essential requirements include:

  • a valid CGSB/CEDO certification
  • IRATA (Rope Access) certification or obtain training
  • Basic Survival Training or obtain training
  • computer skills
  • a strong work ethic and a willingness to work on local, Atlantic and International

Projects where helicopter/vessel transportation is required

Desired Skills for Applicants

  • current or previous offshore employment
  • mechanical aptitude to carry out minor insulation/coating repairs
