Our Integrated Asset Management Solutions (IAM Solutions) team focuses on the assessment, renewal, modernization and sustainability of existing buildings. Every year, we undertake the assessment, renewal and improvement of thousands of buildings throughout Canada and the United States. The IAM Solutions Vision is To improve the Built Environment for the Well-Being of Occupants. IAM Solutions services include: Sustainable Buildings Consulting and Facilitation, Energy Management, Renewal Planning and Implementation, Facility Capital Planning, Building Condition Assessments and Reserve Fund Studies, Designated Substances Assessments, Indoor Air Quality, Building Envelope Assessment and Renewal, Roofing Consulting and Performance Engineering.
Stantec is One Team providing Infinite Opportunities. Responsibilities:A senior leadership position is available as Practice Leader (PCPL) for the Ontario IAM Solutions team. The position can be based in either our Ottawa or one of the GTA offices (Mississauga, Markham or Toronto).
As the successful candidate you will be expected to work closely with the Managing Leader, the Technical Leaders and the Principals and Associates within the group. You will be primarily responsible for the quality and quantity of technical services and for the development of new opportunities for the group, as well as for "above the line" Practice issues, and will have a secondary responsibility to support the group’s people management initiatives. More specifically, you will:
The successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of the IAM Solutions business. With a minimum of 10 years professional experience of buildings engineering projects, the candidate will have knowledge in the design, project management and contract administration of successful projects. Understanding of the institutional and commercial real estate sectors and experience dealing with all levels of government is an asset. A strong understanding of the wide variety of technical services offered within IAM Solutions is critical.
Strong leadership, communication and team building skills are essential for the candidates to meet the expectations of this challenging position. You must be an individual who has the personality, experience and ability to effectively lead, challenge, and inspire the leadership group and staff to work together cohesively as a team. You believe in working collaboratively and expect to go “above and beyond” in support of your team.
Prior consulting experience and established client and agency contacts are desirable to be able to enhance Stantec's One Team Infinite Solutions principle. In this role you will help us build our face to the community; you will be the "image" of the IAM Solutions Team that should come to people's minds.
You must have a demonstrated ability to champion both technical and customer service excellence with conviction and purpose. Must be an experienced practitioner with a strong buildings engineering focus knowledgeable in the design and delivery of high quality existing buildings engineering practices. |
