Responsibilities:

We have an exciting opportunity in our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Office for Junior to Intermediate Mechanical Engineer within our Industrial Oil and Gas Group. Working on a variety of projects, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide engineering services and support in the design of mechanical systems and projects
  • Lead small teams of mechanical engineers and designers in multi-discipline projects
  • Provide mentoring within areas of expertise
  • Project execution, delivering on-time, within budget and to the required quality
  • Support department business development activities
  • Providing technical support to other engineering disciplines
Qualifications:
  • Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer or eligible for registration in Nova Scotia
  • Minimum of 2 years in oil and gas with design experience in refineries and/or the offshore (Pressure vessels,piping systems, and mechanical package systems design is required)
  • Must be capable of independent work in fast pace, schedule driven environments
  • Highly motivated and capable to work independently as part of an integrated multidiscipline team
  • Strong communication skills, organization capabilities
  • Proactive and analytical problem solving skills to deliver work
