Responsibilities:

 

We currently have an opportunity in our Halifax Office for a Junior to Intermediate Level Process Engineer.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients
  • Project execution - delivering on time, within budget and to the required quality
  • Providing technical support to other engineering disciplines
  • Development of process flow diagrams; piping and instrument diagrams; heat and material balances; equipment sizing and specifications
Qualifications:

 The successful applicant should have the following:

 

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven industrial process design experience.  
  • Experience in developing and managing multi-discipline project budgets and schedules would be beneficial. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.  
  • Strong overall technical expertise, including proficiency with using industry recognized simulation tools (e.g., HYSYS, ACX/STX, Fathom/Impulse, etc.) is essential. 
  • Preference will be given to candidates with background in designing refining and/or upgrading processes (hydrotreaters, CDU, VDU, delayed coking, FCC, and/or sulfur recovery processes). 
  • Capable individual to work independently as part of an integrated multidiscipline team. 
  • Strong communication skills and organizational capabilities
