Position Title: Stewardship Forestry Technician (two) Department: Conservation Location: Northern NJ, Reports to: Stewardship Project Director - Forester Job Classification: Full-time (40 hour week)
Job Description: The Stewardship Forestry Technician will serve as a member of a forest inventory crew collecting data to be used in the development of forest stewardship plans on several large tracts in Northern NJ. The position’s main responsibilities will include locating predetermined inventory locations in the field using maps, compass, and GPS units, and conducting standard tree mensuration measurements, as well as collecting data on other resources such as shrubs, herbaceous and non-native plants.
