Responsibilities:

Stantec's office in St. John’s, NF is currently seeking a Junior Buildings Electrical Technologist. You are an excellent communicator with strong writing and interpersonal skills, and are ready to be part of a multidisciplinary team providing clients with effective solutions. This is a dynamic work environment where your abilities will strengthen and grow as you complete a diverse range of projects. Experience in the design, drafting and construction administration for electrical systems will be an asset.  Occasional travel may be required. 

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Certificate or diploma in an electrical engineering three year technology program
  • 2 years of experience preferred (we may consider candidates with less experience as this is an entry level position)
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with recent versions of AutoCAD
  • Effective communication skills are essential, including interpersonal and verbal abilities within the team environment
  • Must be well organized to be able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
  • Experience using building codes in Newfoundland, as well as specialty regulations would be an asset
  •
