The Energy Center of Wisconsin is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving energy sustainability including support of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and environmental protection. The Energy Center is a leader in research and education to change market practices in energy efficiency and renewable energy, with particular emphasis on solutions for the Midwest. This position is a key member of the Energy Center's leadership team and supervises employees on the education team. The Director of Education drives the strategic direction of the Energy Center's education and training initiatives. The Energy Center uses education to increase our visibility and influence in the energy efficiency industry, and to advance the Energy Center's mission. The education product portfolio includes regional conferences, workshops and seminars, and digital offerings. Responsibilities include business development and management of education and training initiatives; funding development; client relations; design, implementation and evaluation of education and training programs; supervising and leading multi-disciplinary teams; budget development and management; proposal writing; and representing the Energy Center at state and national forums. As a member of the Leadership Team, the Director of Education also contributes to Energy Center strategy and management including financial strategies, short- and long-term planning and goal setting, implementing organizational change, and Board of Directors relations.
