The Massachusetts Audubon Society’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary seeks an organized and self-motivated individual who has experience using database management programs, has demonstrated strong attention to detail, and enjoys working with the public to serve as the Day Camp Registrar. Under the direction of the Day Camp Director, the day camp registrar will manage day camp registrations for the Wellfleet Bay Natural History Day Camp and the new Mass Audubon Natural History Day Camp in Chatham; the potential enrollment for these camps is estimated at one thousand customers. The day camp registrar assists customers with initial registrations, ensures completion of all health and liability forms, facilitates the payment, financial aid, and scholarship process, and creates the camp rosters. S/he is responsible for communicating rules and regulations with the registrants, and answers all customer inquires via phone and e-mail, and in person. S/he may also additionally support sanctuary staff in other aspects of sanctuary operations as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of an Associate’s degree in business administration or other related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus 3 years relevant experience. Applicant must be computer proficient with experience in Microsoft Office and be comfortable with online registration and learning new programs. Database management software experience required; applicants should specify which programs they have used and in what capacity. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills (including a strong grasp of the rules of spelling and grammar), and strong organizational skills. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, possess patience and outstanding customer service skills, and be a team player. This position involves working 20-40 hours per week (generally 40 hours throughout the spring and summer, fewer in the fall and winter), typically Monday – Friday, some Saturday hours may be required.
